Bridging the jumpers

Now we move to the top of the PCB

The jumpers should be bridged if using an OLED display. Bridge the jumpers on the top side of the board, the same side the ProMicro will be mounted on. Since they are under the microcontroller they are much easier to solder now. No harm in in bridging the jumpers even if you won’t be installing OLEDs right away.

To bridge:

  1. Double check you are on the top of the board
  2. Add a blob of solder to one pad
  3. Drag the blob, connecting both sides of the jumper.

Some tips:

<aside> 💡 An alternative idea: cut a short piece of diode leg or wire and solder it to the two pads. I haven’t tried this yet. Let me know if it works!
