<aside> 💡 By gentle with USB ports on your ProMicros. The microUSB ProMicros in particular are known to lift off the PCB.

What to expect

Connect the keyboard halves together with the short TRRS cable. Then connect the left half to the computer with USB.

You should see:

Green lights on the underside of the ProMicros
Per-key LEDs slowly pulse red
Left OLED: displays the current layer
Right OLED: displays the QMK logo
Right half will take about a second to boot up
Your computer should recognize that a new keyboard is attached

Hold the left LOWER button to enter the Nav (aka Extend) layer

Hold the right RAISE button to the enter the Symbol layer

Hold both to enter the Adjust layer

For MacOS users: the Adjust layer has a key to swap to a Mac layout
